Leicester is one of the oldest cities in England, with a history going back at least two millennia and so The Leicestershire Law Society thought it would only be fitting to host the National Conference within our historical quarters.
Using great story telling, beautiful design and 21st Century technology, our Opening Ceremony will be held in the King’s Suite at the Richard III Visitor Centre. As we take over the centre, the opening ceremony will encompass the fascinating and moving story of the life, death and discovery of King Richard III.
The Leicestershire Law Society was established in 1860, one of the oldest local societies, and yet overtime has adapted and evolved with the need of the local legal industry.
On day two the Leicestershire Law Society will host its conference.
The Conference will address key hot topics and more. With highly regarded and experienced speakers, the Leicestershire Law Society has put together an interactive programme which focuses on allowing delegates to take away with them key information that can positively shape deliverables to its members and to support the legal professionals in their areas.
The Conference will be opened by President Bushra Ali of Leicestershire Law Society and President Christina Blacklaws of The Law Society of England and Wales.
Further speakers and timings will be announced in the coming weeks.
And if that has not tempted you enough, what about the Black Tie Dinner?
With the centre being a stone’s throw away from the Leicester Cathedral, which has housed the tomb of King Richard III, the black tie dinner will be held amongst the grandeur of this magnificent building.
