Glynis Wright is a Partner and Head of family law for Nelsons, Leicester running one of the largest teams of family lawyers in the East Midlands.

Glynis entered the legal profession in her 40s, became a Partner in a law firm when she was 2 years qualified, and then went on to set up her own law firm Glynis Wright & Co Family Solicitors and Mediators which became one of the most well known family law firms in the region.

Glynis sold her law firm to Nelsons in December 2020 and she and her whole team of lawyers now work for Nelsons. On the same day that Glynis sold her shares to Nelsons, she was notified by the Cabinet Office that she had been awarded an MBE for services to female entrepreneurship.

Glynis is Chair of the Advisory Board for the Faculties of Law and Business at De Montfort University, she was President of the Leicestershire Law Society from July 2019 to September 2020 and as of 7 October was awarded Highly Commended Woman Solicitor for the Year in the 2021 National Law Society Excellence Awards. Glynis continues to serve on the Executive Committee of Leicestershire Law Society.
