The SRA invite solicitors in Leicester to attend their ‘Regulation Roadshow’ to meet with senior management from the SRA on a face-to-face basis and explain some of the work they are doing.
They have been organising roadshows over the past two years all over the country and have found them very popular with solicitors who want to find out about how to conform with the Code of Conduct; new developments in the Legal Services Act, and visits from the Practice Standards Unit. It is also a good opportunity to get feedback from the profession so that they can take this into account when looking at policy issues in the future.
The roadshow will be led by SRA Board Chair Peter Williamson, and SRA Chief Executive Antony Townsend. There will be focused workshops on the Solicitors Accounts Rules and Practice Standards Unit monitoring visits and a question and answer session will be held at the end of the presentations. There will be a choice of two sessions; 12:00 - 3:45pm or 3:45 – 7:30pm with registration 15 minutes before the start of each session.
