Released on:

Last Thursday 13 August over 100 lawyers plus the Lord Mayor and Lady Mayoress of Leicester attended to support the charity night ‘Watch out There are Police About’.

Five Partners:

Imogen Cox (Cartwright King)
Jonathan Foster (Spearing Waite)
Michael Cummings (Freeth Cartwright)
Paul Richards (Wilson Browne)
Noel Walsh, Society President (Weightmans)

Were led away in handcuffs and locked up until they had secured sufficient bail to secure their release. The ‘Leicester five’ as they will now be known, protested their innocence in vain in the face of charges of crimes against their poor downtrodden staff.

With the generosity of colleagues and everyone who attended a ‘king’s ransom’ in excess of £3,000 was raised for the Kashmir Earthquake Charity AHS Foundation. All money raised will go to help build and run a medical centre serving villages at the heart of the disaster.

A great night was had by all who attended and special thanks to Victoria Curran and to the JLD Committee for their hard work and enthusiasm in arranging this highly enjoyable and successful event.
